Hit The Trails

Virtually every inch of the area’s 250+ miles of maintained trails are open to hikers and trail runners. Some trails are even extremely popular with mountain bikers and equestrians. Via Ferrata

If you can climb a ladder, you can climb the Waterfall Canyon Via Ferrata! Via Ferrata, the Italian phrase for "iron road," is a mountain-climbing method that allows less experienced climbers to enjoy the adrenaline rush and spectacular scenery usually reserved for elite climbers. Head East

Outdoor enthusiast and foodies alike can find hours of entertainment in the upper Ogden Valley. From the hundreds of miles of trails and rivers, tens of thousands of acres of flat water, and hundreds of thousands of acres of National Forest to the oldest bar in Utah, the valley holds infinite possibilities for fun. The Shooting Star Saloon is a must see bar. Serving burgers, chips and beer you can always expect American comfort food to be waiting for you. And make sure to say hello to one of the world's largest taxidermy dogs, Buck the St. Bernard while you're there!

Head West

Ogden is home to more than just skiers and hikers, cowboys and rodeo-goers alike can find their own thrills in these parts. You can find rodeos all year at the Golden Spike Event Center. From barrel racing, chariot racing, horse racing, and even a PRCA rodeo you will be sure to find your giddy-up here! Don't miss out on the Ogden Pioneer Day Rodeo that makes its appearance every July and holds its place as one of the country's top rated outdoor rodeos.
