COURSE DESCRIPTIONS
The 34- and 20-km time trials kick things off in Ogden on Sept. 3, where riders will ride the up-and-down course at Antelope Island State Park. Reaching heights of nearly 4,500 feet, the scenic route takes competitors across the east banks of Antelope Island along the Great Salt Lake’s Farmington Bay.
Regardless of whether riders are taking on the 97- or 73-km road race course on Sept. 4-5, competitors will start the race at Snowbasin Resort begining with a short ascent, followed by a gradual 1,700-foot descent in the first 11 kilometers. The 73-km course riders will then take two fairly flat laps around Pineview Reservoir, while the 97-km racers will take a third, before the course ascends back up 1,300 feet in the final 11 kilometers to the finish at Snowbasin Resort.
On Sept. 6, riders will challenge the 1.0-mile criterium course in downtown Ogden. It begins on Historic 25th Street and circles the Ogden Municipal Park stretching between 25th and 27th Streets on the north and south, and Grant and Ogden Avenues on the east and west.
