Learn about the history of dye and where dyes come from. You may be surprised to learn most red food dye is made out of a bug. Or that purple was so rare to find because the ink had to be “milked” out of sea snails.
Class begins promptly at 3:45. This 20 minute program led by a teacher/naturalist may be followed by free time on your own to further explore the Nature Center grounds. Please note that the trails and Visitor Center close by 5pm.
