If you’ve ever been curious about how birds manage to defy physics (or, really, use it to their advantage) and take flight, this program is for you. If you’re a fan of paper airplanes, this program is also for you! We’ll use an easy-to-make craft to discuss why some birds are able to migrate long distances and others are able to dive-bomb at record speeds--all due to the shape of their wings.
Class begins promptly at 3:45. This 20 minute program led by a teacher/naturalist may be followed by free time on your own to further explore the Nature Center grounds. Please note that the trails and Visitor Center close by 5pm.
