Weber Sustainability Fund
While there are infinite ways to enjoy Weber County, the resources that make this place so alluring are objectively finite.
The purpose of the Weber Sustainability Fund (WSF) is to encourage meaningful experiences for residents and visitors while ensuring a net-positive impact on our natural resources and infrastructure.
The WSF provides individuals, businesses, and event organizers a mechanism to financially contribute to strategically developed initiatives and projects that ensure the long-term preservation of our mountain communities and their surrounding natural assets.
Here’s how it works:
- Event organizers commit to a monetary donation per event participant. This is typically a nominal addition to registration or participation fees.
- Collected funds are remitted to the WSF.
- The WSF applies those funds to a local, board-designated sustainability project or initiative deemed to tie most directly to the event’s impact.
- WSF actively communicates the positive contribution of the event organizer and its participants to the community, generating good will and positive brand recognition.
