Make Valentine's Day an Adventure in Ogden

Roses, cards, flowers, chocolates, and gifts can be found anywhere, but getting out and trying something new on Valentine's Day can be a much more memorable date.
Below is a list of 10 experiences the you can enjoy solo or coupled up in and around Ogden for 2024.
Hiking/Snowshoeing
Ogden’s legendary trails don’t go away in the winter. Most of the popular trails around town are well packed, even after the biggest snowstorms, and can be enjoyed with any decent footwear. (Toss a pair of Yaktrax or other traction cleats in your daypack in case you find yourself on shaded sections where the trails tend to ice up a bit.)
Higher-elevation trails like Wheeler Creek, Icebox, Green Pond, Coldwater Overlook, or North Fork Park are best explored with snowshoes. If you don’t have your own snowshoes, check out Gear:30 or the Weber State University Outdoor Rec program for rentals.
Ogden Nature Center
A year-round Utah favorite for nature education and wildlife conservation, Ogden Nature Center offers insight into the natural and cultural history of Ogden with their 152 acre preserve. Immerse yourself in the natural space full of native plant species while strolling through their live exhibit full of Utah's birds of prey.
To all lovers interested, Ogden Nature Center is offering a Valentine's Day class about how animals attract a partner, ending the class with guests creating Valentine treats for the resident birds. For those interested, more details can be found on their website here.
