Fall in Ogden is straight out of a movie. With some of the best autumn leaves in Utah and so much to do, from corn mazes to markets and beer fests, there's sure to be something to keep you excited about the crisp air and the approaching holidays. 2024 can’t-miss fall happenings:
1. Fall Farmer's Market
Sept. 28 - Oct. 19
The Fall Farmer's Market features fresh harvests from farmers who travel from all over Northern Utah to share their produce. It also features local artisans, craftspeople, flower arrangers, pumpkin spice latte brewers and much more. The perfect place to show off your new scarf and to get some early holiday shopping done.
The market opens at 9 a.m. and runs until 2 p.m.
2.Ogden's Dia De Los Meurtos
October 12th
During Ogden Dia De Los Muertos, locals decorate alters, cook delicious Hispanic food, and welcome and honor the souls of their loved ones lost. Art and music will be plentiful at this multicultural event! It's a free event, and takes place at Ben Lomond High School. Take the whole family and learn about the history of Halloween-type holidays, and how other cultures celebrate their ancestors.

3. Ogden Eats
October, 2023
Ogden Restaurant Week is now Ogden Eats! Throughout October, local restaurants are offering special menus and deals. The fall is a great time for locals to support independently owned businesses, as the harvest is in full swing and there are fewer crowds.

4. Leaf Peeping
Mid September to October
The first autumn colors appear mid-mountain in oaks, maples, and elms. These hues gradually move down to the metro area, peaking in late September. Higher up, aspens turn vibrant later, offering great leaf-peeping into October.
Some good spots to check out the fall colors in Ogden are the Bonneville Shoreline Trail,Ogden Canyon Scenic Byway, Wheeler Creek, Old Snowbasin Road,Snowbasin Resort, Powder Mountain and North Fork Park.
5. SnowWiesn Oktoberfest at Snowbasin
Aug. 17 to Oct. 6 from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.
It's not the alps but it can be just as fun! Experience Oktoberfest in Utah’s mountains at the stunning Snowbasin Resort. Inspired by Germany's d'Wiesn, there will be Bavarian cuisine, craft beer, live music, and a local market.
Entry requires a ticket or Snowbasin season pass. Ticket options start at $10. You can purchase them online and print at the kiosks. So dust off your lederhosen and get ready to munch on some Schnitzel.
6. Northern Utah Trailfest: the NUT
October 4-6
The Northern Utah Trailfest is a great way to get in the mountains in the fall with like-minded folk. Whether you're a novice or a seasoned pro, if you run, hike, or mountain bike, you'll love testing yourself on the NUT Trail Run and Mountain Bike Race. See if you can finish the most laps within timeframes of 3, 6, or 9 hours! (Note: The 9-hour duration is exclusive to the trail run.) Location: North Fork Park, a national designated dark sky area.
7. Harvest Moon Celebration
Sept. 21, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m
Celebrate the end of summer and usher in fall with family-friendly activities, live music by local artists, community booths and partners, local businesses, food and artisan vendors, and FREE entry to Northern Utah’s largest event of the year!
